Dear Parents/Carers,
I am writing to invite you to attend our virtual Relationships, Health and Sexual Education (RSHE) parental consultation event, taking place on 11th September from 5:30pm to 6:00pm. This consultation event, run through Google Meet, gives parents and carers the opportunity to learn more about the ways we promote personal wellbeing and personal development, at all stages of your child’s education, at Longfield Academy.
During this event, we will deliver a presentation covering the following topics:
- The curriculum requirements for RSHE.
- The delivery of RSHE at Longfield Academy.
- Examples of the lessons we teach for PSHE/RSHE.
- Our policy for PSHE and RSHE.
- The opt out process for parents for elements of Sex Education.
- How to contact the school with any concerns or feedback.
At Leigh Academy Longfield, we understand the importance of parental involvement in raising young people’s understanding of key societal and personal issues. We hope you will be able to join us for this presentation.
