We are incredibly proud of our Year 13 students as they receive their post-16 results today. Their determination, resilience, and positive attitudes throughout their time in the sixth form have been truly commendable, and it is fantastic to see their hard work reflected in this year’s outcomes.

This year’s results are a testament not only to the commitment of our students but also to the outstanding support provided by our dedicated teaching staff. Their subject expertise, guidance, and belief in every student have played a key role in helping our learners exceed expectations and achieve their goals.

Some of this year’s standout results include:

  • Kyla  A* in photography, Distinction* in forensic science and an A in criminology
  • Phoenix – A* in mathematics, A in chemistry and an A in computer science
  • Imogen – A* in sociology, A in history and an A in criminology
  • Grace – A* in criminology, B in psychology, A* in extended project and a B in film studies
  • Garis – A in chemistry, A in mathematics and a B in biology
  • Zac – A in mathematics, B in physics and a Distinction in performing arts
  • Pareet – A in mathematics, B in biology and a B in chemistry
  • Eva – A in criminology, B in film studies and a B in photography
  • Jibreel – B in biology, B in chemistry, B in mathematics and B in physics.

This year we also celebrate our first year of results for the T Level in Legal & Finance. We would like to congratulate all students that completed the course, with particular mention for Bethany and Liam for achieving Distinctions.

Among the many successes, we are delighted to share that a number of our students have secured places at top universities, including members of the prestigious Russell Group, as well as highly competitive apprenticeship and employment pathways. Some of our students have been successful in securing places at the following universities:

  • University of York to study chemistry
  • King’s College London to study biochemistry
  • Queen Mary University to study computer systems engineering
  • University of Exeter to study law
  • University of Exeter to study business and law
  • University of Greenwich to study English literature

  • City St George’s, University of London to study finance
  • Royal Agricultural University to study agriculture.

These achievements mark just the beginning of exciting journeys ahead. Whether continuing in higher education, pursuing an apprenticeship, or entering the world of work, we know our students are equipped with the skills, values, and confidence to thrive.

We would like to thank our Year 13 students for consistently demonstrating the Longfield Academy values of Respect, Aspiration, and Care. They have been excellent role models to our school community, and we look forward to hearing about the many successes they will no doubt go on to achieve.
